Shopping and Entertainment Mall "MEGAMAG" opened!

At 12:00 on the 11^th of December 2009 opening ceremony of Shopping and Entertainment Mall "MEGAMAG" took place at the following address: 1 Poymennaya str. (past the Voroshilovsky bridge). The event was visited by Vladimir Barteniev, Minister of Economic Affairs, Commerce, International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Rostov Region, Valeriy Vakula, Minister of Sports of the Rostov Region, Alexander Boyarinov, Chief Architect of the Rostov Region, Viktor Berezhnoy, Head of Leninsky District of the city of Rostov-on-Don and by our partner ZAO Raiffeisenbank, represented by Dmitriy Shakhmetov, deputy director of «Yuzhniy» regional centre.

We managed to attract to SEM two anchor tenants which are new for the region. Previously «X5 Retail Group» was present in the city in formats of «supermarket» and «neighbourhood store», and now it broadened its scale to «hypermarket» with brand name of «Karusel`». «Decathlon» sports hypermarket became not only the biggest sports shop in Rostov, but also the first company project outside Moscow.

Now Edinstvo Concern (developer of SEM «MEGAMAG») plans to construct DIY (Do It Yourself) store and 2 stages with approximate area of 45 thou.sq.m with shops and spacious entertainment ground with multiplex, bowling and conceptual restaurants. Our goal is to create impressive and integral design which would mould united comfortable interior space. This is not an easy task, but it was completely handled by «Chapman Taylor», British architect bureau, which prepared the schematic design.
